LG TV Remote App Reviews

The update on our Blu-ray removed Amazon Prime (one main reason we got the player). From the app I could get it though. Now my remote recognizes and sees the player but thinks its always turned off. Completely useless.

I can control my $85 FireTV and the free SPMC app on that and my $200 receiver with iPhone apps, but not a 2015 model $2000 LG "smart" TV. Terrible

Ive had my LG tv and this app for several years and although it wasnt perfect, it did work. It cant find my tv at all anymore and hasnt for months. So disappointing.

Used this app for years and it worked great except it unpairs all the time. But since iOS 10, the touch pad no longer works. Have to click on the fist in the bottom left corner to click anything! Whats the point of a touch pad if I cant click anywhere. Please fix this.

Fix your update! It no longer works with my TV.

I up graded to an iPhone 7 and now the app doesnt work well. I can move the cursor just fine but clicking on an item requires me to tap on my phone screen 20 or 30 times. I am guessing it has to do with the force touch? Still works just fine on my iPad 2 air.

They must have had to work really hard to make this app not talk to a TV that is on the same local network but connected by hard wired Ethernet. What is the point of that? I use Ethernet to get best bandwidth to the TV. Makes this app useless.

It glitches all the time

I have to tap a bunch of times to get it to accept something. All of them buttons in the app will work, just not the cursor. Please update app!

So i dont think this app is great. Seems to always have network connectivity issues and reconnect and lag. But now more recently when i got the new iphone i cant tap the screen on my phone to click. This makes is harder to use and in extreme cases the pointer resets before i move my finger down to tap the click button. Makes me have to use 2 hands to use this app. I wish they would come out with an update to fix these issues!

App is unusable. It will not pair with my TV. The connection notification appears on screen, the app sees the TV, but it wont pair.

This thing works like 10% at a time. Both my TV and my smartphone are connected to the same network. Ive refreshed it too many times and it hasnt worked. Please fix it.

Switched to iPhone 7, now you can no longer "click" using the touch pad. Which pretty much make it unless.

Terrible app. Constantly drops connection. Whoever designed this app CLEARLY has no idea what theyre doing and should be out of a job. Dont waste your time downloading this CRapp.

Bad UI, poor features, doesnt work with all their TVs. Come on LG, step up your game on the app side of the product. Get a serious PM in there to fix all this crap. Dont download.

The tapping motion stopped working on my new iPhone 7, making this app basically worthless to me. The UI also leaves some to be wanting.

Outdated! I returned a Samsung for an LG which has a better picture but Samsung has lg beat on the "smart" part, better apps and features. Lg needs to get their act together! Im dumbstruck they dont have their own app for their smart tv!

The cheap LG remote broke after 6 months... Luckily I have a high quality iPhone and can use this AP. When the APP connects it works decently. Problem is it often does not connect so you spend 3-15 minutes opening and closing it.............

As mentioned above. Works with optical but not hdmi passthrough. The tv remote still can control the volume but not the phone app. That makes no sense. Please fix. ps The tv stream to phone has never worked. Tv 60pb6650 updated Sound bar lg LAS551H
